The world is enjoying the message and the culture of our dear continent. It is pertinent to highlight the wonders back home by our rising stars, even as we sojourn to the great beyond.
This was a rare moment, as I had an interactive time with Morrelo a young man who is not joking with his craft and is ready to take the world by storm. We discussed a lot about his childhood, life, music, and more.

Okay. My name is Nwamu Francis and my stage name Morrelo Virusman.
Alright.
How did you get into music?
Well, it’s been a very long process, from when I was a kid. I am not sure there was just a direct way I got in. It was pretty much just an unknown step-by-step process from when I wrote my first song at age 11 till when I moved back to Lagos till now.
Can you talk about your childhood?
My childhood was okay. I grew up with my grandparents mostly because I was a child out of wedlock, my parents were young when they had me and got separated. I grew up in Lagos before I moved to Delta state later as a teenager.
Wow.
So, what helped you to survive as a teenager?
Okay, as a teen I was an introvert. So I stuck myself in my talents. Then I wrote novels and short stories and I would draw comics, write songs, and sing to myself or my small circle of friends. So it was these activities that kept me going before I eventually decided to stick to just music.

Did all these things influence your interest in music?
Well, I won’t say interest. I was technically just born with an interest in music rather.
Can you explain?
Omoh I don’t think I can right now. It’s way too long and Deep. Music had always been there and I just didn’t care about doing it professionally then.

So when did you get into music professionally?
Pretty much 2020 when I got my first sponsor. Then I started to visit Lagos again frequently from Delta to get more acquainted with the industry before I moved to Lagos finally last year.

So how has the journey been so far?
The journey has been going well. God has been faithful.
What genre of music do you do?
Afro-beats.
What projects do you have in the works?
My new single drops 1st of March ‘Music found me’. It’s my first single.
What advice do you have for other upcoming acts?
Well, don’t give up. If you believe e go work.
Then e go work.
Then find people wey don do am before you.
Follow them and learn how them run am.
So you go fit run your own.
